Article Directory Submission - Stick To The Basics And Success Will Come Your Way

Article directory submission is one of the most powerful ways to boost your website professional campaign in SEO. If you think that you can write good articles, you can use your creative talent to increase the web traffic to your site substantially. On the other hand, if you’re not good at writing articles, you’re still recommended to use this method of article marketing. You can do this by availing yourself to the services of ghost writers.

If you follow the article directory submission guidelines properly, you’ll not only be able to create lots of back links pointing to your site, but you’ll also get a good source of income. However, you should note that it’s a time-consuming process, and it does take some time before it starts producing the productive results. You need to put in some real hard effort in, order to make the best use of your article marketing efforts. If you’re considering employing the free content distribution method, you’ll find the following tips very useful.

Spelling And Grammar
There’s nothing worse than reading an article with lots of spelling and grammatical mistakes. Your readers will get a very bad impression about you and your business, if the articles you’ve submitted contain spelling and grammatical errors. Therefore, it’s very important for you to thoroughly proofread your articles before article directory submission. Some article directories do you a favor, as they review your article and inform you if they find some kind of spelling and grammatical errors.

Factual Errors
Likewise, in cases of any kind of factual errors in your article you’ll lose your credibility among the readers. Therefore, before you submit articles, you must thoroughly check it for any kind of factual errors.

Title Of The Article
When it comes to article directory submission, you must also pay special attention to the title of the article. It has to be catchy and attractive enough to motivate the visitors to read the entire article. Make sure that the title is self-descriptive. The visitors must get an idea regarding the content of the article just by reading the title. You should take care of the relevancy factor. You’re not supposed to create a false title in an attempt to attract the readers.

For example, if you’ve written an article regarding how to get started with Adsense, you’re not supposed to give it a title like “The Top Secrets To Succeed In AdSense”. If the readers don’t find any top secrets of success in your article, they’ll never read the articles with the same pen name.

There are several other things as well that you need to keep in mind while you’re doing article directory submission. For example, you’re not supposed to include any affiliate links within these articles.

The Benefits Of Article Distribution In New Article Directories

You probably know the benefits of article distribution in old and high traffic article directories in SEO. However, very few people know that they can also enjoy a great range of benefits by submitting their articles to new article directories. In fact, it’s a win-win situation for both you and the new directories. Let’s go exploring how free content distribution to the new directories can benefit you.

Become A Top publishing Author
Since the directory is new and has a limited number of articles by different authors, you can take advantage of the low competition. If you have lots of quality articles to submit, you can become a top publishing author at that site very soon. It won’t be very difficult for you to climb to the top of the list in a very short time. Therefore, one of the greatest benefits of article distribution to new directories is that it can easily popularize you.

The Fresh Promotion
It’s true that the new directories have a small amount of web traffic. But, they’re actually very ambitious about their venture and they do heavy promotion for their site. You can take advantage of this fresh promotion. Since you’re already the top publishing author at that site, you’ll be the one who will get the most benefits from the increased traffic.

Even Google Likes Fresh Content
There are also several benefits of article distribution to new directories in terms of better search engine ranking. You’ll be glad to know that all the major search engines including Google, loves fresh and new content. Besides, free content distribution to these directories will also earn you another quality inbound link in the eyes of Google and other search engines.

You Can Post A Higher Number Of Articles
Unlike the old article directories, the new ones may allow you to post a large number of articles every month. The higher the number of articles you submit, the better your chances of getting more web traffic. The owners of the new directories tend to go above and beyond the call of duty in order to make their content grow quickly, and that’s the reason they also provide you some great offers. Thus, the benefits of article distribution to these new directories are that you can enjoy those lucrative offers.

For example, if you’ve been consistently publishing lots of content on their website, they may like to consider a special joint venture promotion for you. You’ll be glad to know that a new directory owner tends to reward their best authors.

Less Competition
One of the biggest benefits of article distribution to the new directories, is that the competition is very low. Therefore, your articles are likely to be read by more visitors than in an old directory.

Do You Want an SEO Article or a Good One?

Have a look at some at online job adverts for writing jobs if you want a cheap laugh. You will find people on the internet looking for top quality, experienced SEO copywriters to write 1,000 words with no mistakes. They’ll even pay the lucky person $1 to do it for then. If you can write 20,000 words in a day you might even be able to buy some bread and milk today. Does quantity in cash equal quality when it comes to the actual SEO embedded throughout an article?

Mechanics of SEO Article Writing

This is the weird thing that gets me; a lot of site owners look upon SEO writing as some of mechanical process which requires no thought or time in doing it but then value so called creative writing much more highly. Maybe they picture their writers as doing 5 search engine oriented jobs at the same time on 5 different PCs, or maybe they think that I get my dog to write these articles while I do my real job on creative stuff.

Is It Fit for Human Consumption?

Anyway, if you are a good writer then you don’t need to settle for jobs like these ones. You can write good articles instead. Eh? Aren’t SEO articles good articles then? Well, I like to think that they are when I do them but a lot of people seem to think that there is a difference between writing something for SEO purposes and writing something which humans might like to read at some point.
I think this idea might come from the days when search engines could be more easily fooled with nonsensical articles which contained little more than keywords and some added nonsense. This isn’t the case anymore thankfully and to make a difference to a site’s ranking even basic SEO pieces need to make sense and be well written. If a site owner pays buttons to get a piece of rubbish rattled out then the chances are that their plans to move up the search engine rankings and dominate the world aren’t going to go too well.

How Many Blooming Keywords?

In my opinion, a professional copywriter should always write articles which give some degree of enjoyment to humans. This isn’t always easy when you get a string of keywords about dog food or contact lenses which you need to squeeze into an article. The worst writing job I ever did involved me being asked to put 20 keyword phrases into a 400 word article about used cars in some godforsaken one horse town. 20 keywords! I didn’t have space to write much else anyway so it was actually pretty easy to write it.

Keyword Jigsaw

Writing articles like these is more like putting together a jigsaw than creative writing in my view. You just need to work out where to put each one in order for it to make sense. However, most conventional articles, whether purely for SEO purposes or not, follow the same sort of process. You come up with an idea, you flesh it out and then you give it the finishing touches. The only real difference is that in some cases you need to drop in certain keywords along the way.
So am I an SEO writer or a creative copywriter? In truth I think I am both. Maybe I am creative SEO writer. AS far as I am concerned there is absolutely no reason for the creativity and the search engine optimization to be mutually exclusive considerations.
For creative SEO writers who offer copywriting services which value all types of writing you will find that AppleCopywriting is a fine choice.

Setting Your Link Building Goals

Most of the people nowadays know how powerful link building is. However, one of the most important parts of SEO is tracking your results. Tracking results is impossible if you don't know what your goal is. Whether your want more traffic, conversions or better rankings, you need to set your goals before even starting to do link building so you can measure your progress properly.

Some of the most common goals when doing link building are:

Better Rankings

Improving rankings can be easy or difficult depending on what makes you happy. Appearing in the top 100 on page 5 for example is easy. However, it will be way more difficult to move from sixth to third place on the first page of the results unless your desired keyword is highly uncompetitive.

You should also consider personalized search when setting your goals and checking the results. You might see your website on first place when it actually is on seventh. To prevent this you can use a gread Mozilla Firefox extension called TrackMeNot.

An important thing to know is that you shouldn't worry if your website has been number 5 for a couple of months and one day you see it on the sixth place. This does not mean everything you have done is about to go down in flames.

More Traffic

A lot of people think that improving their rankings will also drive more traffic to their website. This is true most of the times, but if your website is not appealing to people, they are likely to not click on your link at all.

It is important to place your links on relevant to your niche websites that get a fair amount of traffic and have very good rankings. Link exchange is one of the ways you can get a link from such websites.

However, placing your link on a website with hundreds of other links that is also not relevant to your business at all is a waste of time because people are not likely to even see your link, let alone click it.

A great way to get traffic is to place a link on a new blog post that is getting a lot of social media attention and shares. That way you will not only get more visitors, but you will get visitors that are actually interested in your content.

More Conversions

The most important thing when your goal is to increase your conversions is relevancy. Getting a lot of traffic and great rankings without any conversions is a probable scenario when your traffic is not relevant at all. Most link builders focus on the previous two goals, leaving conversions in the background. However, if you set it as your goal, you can achieve amazing results by making sure your visitors are interested in your website and it is relevant to what they need.

Tips & Advices

Whatever you do when it comes to SEO and link building – keep doing it if it's working. If you stop, your results and efforts will eventually go down the drain. However, bad things tend to happen from time to time so here are some advices which can prevent you losing what you have achieved:

  1. Don't focus only on paid links. Try to get as much free backlinks as possible because if you run out of money for these links, they will disappear and so will your results.
  2. If you have an SEO company, make sure more than one link builders are working on a client. That way if one of the employees quit, the other one will be able to continue.
  3. Consider social medias and keep in mind that they can be pretty powerful when your slow down your link building tempo.

Make sure you know what your goal is and never stop tracking your results. Remember that tracking is as important as link building itself and these two things should not be separated.

How to Use Twitter to Market Your Business

If you’re like a lot of people who consider themselves to be novices when it comes to the wide, wonderful world of social media, you might think that twitters and tweets are those delightful sounds made by birds outside your window on a beautiful spring morning.

In fact, Twitter is also the name of an online social media service where people with similar interests can network with each other and share their thoughts. When used effectively as a marketing tool, Twitter can also help boost your company’s sales, which is sure to have you chirping a happy tune!

How Does Twitter Work, Anyway?
To enter the world of Twitter, you simply need to log on to Twitter.com and set up a free account. You’ll then be able to post your thoughts, feelings and ideas about anything your heart desires in a message known as a “tweet” for all other Twitter users to see. Keep in mind, though, that brevity is the key, as your tweets must consist of 140 characters or less. If you’re normally long-winded, you might have to practice a bit at developing the fine art of getting to the point!

How Do I Market with Twitter?
The cool thing about Twitter is that it can be used as a marketing tool for virtually any type of business, ranging from collectibles to kitchen appliances. You can start by creating a profile page that explains about your company, its products and services and some biographical information about yourself.
With Twitter, you can easily locate individuals and communities with similar interests and that might benefit from what your business has to offer. By “following” these people, you’ll be able to receive their tweets as soon as they send them. They can also follow you in return, allowing you to build your own Twitter community.

Creating Your Tweets
You can use Twitter for marketing purposes in a number of ways. For example, if your business involves selling KitchenAid appliances, you can create tweets offering brief tips about maintenance or product selection. You’ll develop credibility and establish yourself as an expert in your field, which can eventually lead to more sales.

You can also promote your business with Twitter, such as when tweeting about a new product or service you’ve added and including a link to your website. However, you should avoid using Twitter to only promote what you sell, as this could be viewed as “spamming,” a Twitter no-no. The best practice is to create a mix of promotional, informational and entertaining tweets.

Feel Free to Tweet Away
Now that you know the basics about using Twitter to market your business, you’re ready to set up your own Twitter account. Happy tweeting!

SEO – Should You Handle It Yourself?

When it comes to internet marketing, a solid SEO strategy is the gift that keeps on giving. After all, being at the top of the search engine rankings can bring you valuable traffic and profits that you wouldn't have been able to get anywhere else!

But, the SEO world is an incredibly complex one. There are all kinds of tools and techniques to legitimately boost your search ranking - and it seems like there are new tips coming out all of the time.
Plus, SEO takes a lot of work - especially ecommerce SEO. It is not the kind of thing that you will ever be "finished" with. Once you implement an ecommerce SEO strategy, you have to work at it to maintain your ranking.

So, should you handle your SEO work yourself?
That's the question that many business owners agonize over. In order to make the right decision, you have to weigh the pros and cons.

Benefits to outsourcing your SEO work:
1. You don't have to devote any time to it
If you're a business owner, you probably have too much on your plate as it is. If you simply can't handle something else, it's best to outsource your SEO work. After all, if you don't have enough time to devote to SEO, it's not going to do you any good.
2. You can get true professionals to do it for you
Chances are you're not an SEO expert. When you outsource the work, there is no learning curve, and you don't have to worry about learning SEO on the fly. Instead, experts handle the work properly, right from the start. Many times, experts can get results faster than you can on your own.
3. It's cheaper than hiring a full-time employee
You can save yourself a ton of time by hiring a full-time employee to work on your SEO strategy. However, you'll also have to pay that person a salary and benefits. When you outsource, you pay a flat fee that's much lower.

Benefits to doing the work yourself:
1. You'll know your SEO is being taken seriously
If you do the work yourself, you know that the person handling everything has a vested interest in its success.
2. You get spared the frustration of working with a shady SEO firm
There are lots of good and bad SEO companies out there. If you're not careful, you could end up with one of the bad ones - and a headache.
If you don't have the budget to hire a reputable SEO firm, you're probably better off doing the work yourself. After all, if you pay peanuts, you tend to get monkeys!
3. You'll get to learn the ins and outs of SEO yourself
If you like to keep track of the latest marketing trends, you might actually find your SEO work enjoyable - even if it is another responsibility.

Should SEO Start Thinking About Other Search Engines

For most SEO's, search engine optimization means ranking in the top three on Google, no matter what. There are many different approach this usually involves creative link building, SEO consulting, and keeping up with the latest trends to optimize sites for various keywords. A simple algorithm update can ruin all of your hard work. So, unfortunately some tactics can include could include spammy links, scaling up content, reusing content, and many more tactics are used in place of White Hat SEO that tend to keep websites afloat for a little while. Most of the time this leaves SEO's scrambling to manipulate sites and return their sites to the top. It seems like the SEO industry is turning into a panic driven business with a never ending shadow on the future. Dominate search engine Google, can turn a successful business and livelihood into an over night failure, seemingly at the flip of a switch. Then those that manage to rebuild find themselves hit again by the next Panda Update.

What Google doesn't understand is that making extreme changes overnight isn't exactly the best alternative. At times updates inadvertently affects great websites, that have been putting hard work in day in and day out. And for Black hats this leaves a wide open door to figure out the next best tactic to make a quick battle. It's like the ongoing battle between cops and robbers. Changing dramatically overnight isn't going to eliminate spam, and more and more legitimate workers are becoming disgruntled.

I am not advocated using spammy tactics whatsoever. First and foremost to rank high in the search engines I always think you should start by building a great website, and most of the SEO will happen in a more natural approach. I wish I could say the same for Google. Now Google's search is obviously the best as of right now, but in no way is Google just a "search engine." They are a money making company driven by profits. Ever notice searching for videos, how almost every single video is a Youtube video? Not really a coincidence there, not to mention, Youtube is by far the biggest "Content Farm" on the web. I mean you can essentially find anything on Youtube, especially spam. If you ad that to the extremely oversized paid advertisements, and some form of Google ranking below, you have a limited chance of being seen by your potential traffic.

Google needs to rethink their position. Although Google is dominate, the internet world is in it's infancy, and swift movements combined with a brilliant mind can uproot internet companies faster than you can say Bing. Speaking of other search engines, perhaps SEO's should start thinking more dynamically. While Google dominates the market, the space left over is still an immense market. Not to mention with Google's search being crowded by ads, Youtube videos, and Google______ (fill in the blank), it is getting harder and harder for a website to see traffic. Recently I was looking to apply for a credit card, so thats exactly what I typed in. Out side the fact that the first three were huge advertisements, the "comparison ad" that ranks 1st, is www.google.com/advisor/uscredit. Funny how Google seems to have the best of everything. By this point if someone doesn't have an extremely large computer screen, chances are they aren't going to be seeing your site.

The power of SEO's is often underrated. While they try to rank clients for mostly Google, and SEO can see the trend ahead of sites being unseen - lost in the Google's profit driven search. This could leave an opening for a better search, not necessarily Bing, or Yahoo!. Who wants to look at only Youtube videos and the latest Google Books all day. On top of that LinkedIn profiles outrank Facebook profiles on Google. Now I'm no genius, but I have an inkling that that could be because of LinkedIn using Google Adwords. SEO's have the power to let businesses, especially small businesses know this trend, and even a small decrease in Traffic for Google is huge. SEOBook does a good job spelling out the bad practices that Google engages in.

Right here and now Google is still the reigning champ, so if the market is still there to help sites rank for Google, by no means abandon that strategy. Although you may want to be clear to clients, and everyone for that matter, just what Google is doing. That is you best tool for the moment. That and to stay knowledgeable. Perhaps you consider offering services geared towards other search engines. Link building services work for more than just Google. The most important thing an SEO can do is be honest, and avoid Black Hat tactics. Tell clients the first step to having great SEO, is to first have a great website. In the end that will make your job easier.

The Fundamental Components of Search Engine Marketing

The Internet is full of articles discussing the fundamentals or key elements of search engine marketing (SEM), effective search engine optimization, and how to run an SEO or PPC campaign on your own for less. A lot of the “miracle solution” articles are, unsurprisingly, not worth reading. Most companies that can afford decent SEM don’t really need to be concerned with any of the more sophisticated SEO information anyway and would probably be better off leveraging its budget to hire a search engine advertising agency than to try and develop the expertise internally. However, because most companies have at least a few people who control and monitor their website and online activities, it is worthwhile for an SEM project manager to understand a few of the fundamentals that relate to more effective SEM.

The first, but perhaps most obvious components of SEO are the different types of advertising available for a search engine marketing campaign. Search engine optimization (SEO) is a long-term strategy that improves some elements of the client’s website to increase its visibility and indexibility for search engines’ web crawlers. Coupled with various linking and backlinking strategies to improve its credibility and quality scores with search engines, this helps to achieve a higher ranking for a particular keyword search phrase or set of phrases. It is a long-term strategy because search engines base their ranking on a complex algorithm that they do not completely divulge, and this algorithm can be slow in incorporating changes in any one site.

The second most common component is pay per click (PPC) advertising, which is the yin to SEO’s yang. SEM venders work with clients to choose phrases they think potential customers might search, and then bid to have the company’s advertisements placed in various online locations related to the chosen keyword phrase, such as on the side of search engine results. The bid price is the cost to the client for each time someone clicks one of these ads. The costs and efficiency of this strategy vary greatly depending on how much bid competition there is over the keyword, how well designed the ad copy and landing page are, and a variety of other factors. However, it is generally an effective strategy to quickly increase traffic.

There are other smaller options as well, such as the older pay for inclusion and social media advertising using portals such as Facebook, Twitter, and Youtube. Each of these options can be effective for specific marketing goals on its own or be used in conjunction with other search engine marketing techniques for a robust, blended approach. These SEM fundamentals can be altered or tailored for various marketing needs, which is why a company should understand them at a basic level.

Search Engine Marketing Is a Vast Field. Any Company Doing SEM, Whether with an Ad Firm or in-house, Should Understand These Basics. To Learn More Visit Wpromote.com

SEO For a New Site: Start Building Links Slowly

Having a website is important for many businesses and individuals. People can find you, read what you have to say or buy the products and services you are offering. Launching your website is only the first step. There’s more work to be done after your website debuts on the web.

Most of the time website owners are disappointed because no one seems to be going to their site; there is very little traffic or hits. Visitors to the site are usually relatives, friends and people who were told that the website exists. Using search engine optimization (SEO) methods like building links will help drive traffic to any website.

If you have a new website, you can increase traffic to your site through link building. You want other sites to link to your website (inbound links). The sites that link to you should be sites with the same or similar subject matter as yours. For example, if your site sells baby clothes, you want links from websites that deal with parenting or baby products. You don’t want links from sites that sell nutritional supplements or auction items. The sites that link to your website must always be relevant to your site.

New sites should build links at a slow, steady pace. It is unnatural to get more than 10,000 hits just after the launch of a new website. When setting up links, you can start with family, friends and colleagues. Ask who among them have websites. If their sites are relevant to yours, request that they link to your site via their posts. You can also utilize social networking sites like Facebook, Twitter and MySpace to establish links to your website.

Another way to build a link to your website is through blogging. When you add a blog to your site, place a link that goes back to your website’s home page. Include images, videos and even polls so the blog does not look forced. If you wish, you can post articles for sites that accept blogs and other types of articles. You may be able to insert a link to your own website in the article or include a link in your bio.

Some use link farms to get tons of links in one go. But this is hardly the way to do it. Google prefers natural links; those that develop over time. Link spamming your website may hurt your website in the end.

Once you have an established, indexed website, you can get a little more aggressive in link building. Take your time especially if you are new to the game. SEO work is not an overnight process. Patience, not over enthusiasm, is the key.
